Archive/Curate

We approach archival and curation as a community-centered practice.

Access to public information is part of democratic accountability. While archiving public information is our primary goal, additionally we want to work on figuring out how to archive better, resolve issues related to consent, attribution, context etc. These archive should be usable and accessible which can then benefit the communities that hold and maintain it.

We don’t really have any hard line on what we want to archive but cultural preservation (assam) is a priority, we want to do it in a way that archiving of one’s culture becomes an living practice.

Archives should serve present communities while keeping knowledge available for future ones.
